What is Ventrilo?
Ventrilo is a voice-chat program that allows you to communicate with other players via a microphone and speakers. This is a lot easier than typing out directions in the middle of the game. One downside is that unless you rent a server, you are limited to eight slots (or clients connected) at once.
There are also a few other voice-chat programs out there.
History
- 2007-12-28: A server was setup by erebus and harl91
- 2009-01-31: erebus' and harl91's server rental expired.
- 2009-02-12: Jason#8 started renting a server
- 2009-02-20: Jason#8's server was moved to a different DNS
- 2009-04-30: Jason#8's rental expired and Sticks put up a new Ventrilo server.
